What comes out — and what's added
From your gross salary, two things are withheld, and one is sometimes added:
- ISR — income tax under the SAT monthly tables, applied progressively.
- IMSS (worker share) — your contribution to social security (illness, disability, and more).
- Subsidio al empleo — a subsidy added back for lower earners, which raises your net.
Why the 2026 tables matter
The SAT updates the ISR tables and the UMA (which drives several thresholds) each year. Using last year's numbers gives a wrong net. The 2026 figures reflect the updated tarifa and the current UMA.
No email wall
Many Mexican payroll sites hide the result behind a sign-up. You shouldn't have to give your email to see your own net salary — the calculation is straightforward once the current tables are applied.
