Methodology & data sources

The calculator applies Mexico's Federal Labor Law. Finiquito includes pro-rated aguinaldo (15 days × days worked this year ÷ 365, Art. 87), unused vacation (× your daily wage, Arts. 76-78 using the 2023 "Vacaciones Dignas" scale: 12 days in year one rising to 20 by year five, then +2 every 5 years) and a 25% vacation premium (Art. 80). For unfair dismissal it adds the 90-day constitutional severance (3 months, Art. 48), 20 days of salary per year worked (Art. 50) and the seniority premium of 12 days per year with the wage capped at 2× the general minimum wage ($315.04/day in 2026, Art. 162). Severance items use the integrated daily wage (salary × 1.0493 as a minimum-integration approximation); aguinaldo and vacation use the base daily wage. It's an educational estimate — your real integrated wage, contract benefits and tax withholding can change the amount. Our Freshness Keeper checks the minimum wage and rules each year.
